He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret; his parents, Lillard Thompson (LW) and Nell Thompson; and his brothers, James and Gene.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Thompson (Kelley) and Teresa McElya (Noel); his grandsons, Jeremy Spencer and Brandon Spencer (Ruth); his great grandchildren, Cooper, Emmalin and Alissa Spencer; and his siblings, Gerald Thompson and Judy Davis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home (2410 Jackson St, Paducah, KY 42003). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hardmoney Baptist Church Cemetery (5351 KY-1684, Boaz, KY 42027).
