As Risa departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Risa. Though Risa may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Howard Morehead and Mary Nell Wallace Morehead. She is survived by: her children, Jordyn Jones (Jayce) of Murray and Josh Compton (Missy) of Paducah; her grandchildren, Samson Jones and Leilani Jones; and her siblings, Aleta Harris of Kevil and Wally Morehead of West Paducah.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah (120 Memorial Dr, Paducah, KY 42001). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the McCracken County Humane Society, 4100 Coleman Rd. Paducah, KY 42001 or to Bethel Christian Church 12245 Woodville Rd. Kevil, KY 42053.
