She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Wilson Jones and Eva Westerfield Blackford; and her stepfather Billy Joe Blackford. She is survived by: her husband Steven D. Lanier; her stepson Andrew Chase Lanier; and her siblings, Barbara A. Turner (Lee) of Paducah, Lynn Jones (Paul) of Paducah, Kathy Kneer of Paducah, Rita Wilson, Thomas W. Blackford and Pete Jones (Debbie) of Paducah, Kentucky. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
