He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Stewart and Arlen Howard; and his siblings, Emma Mae Stewart Green, Thomas "Heavy" Stewart, Odie Stewart Jimmie "T'Bone" Stewart and Charles "Sweet Pea" Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Stewart of Paducah; his children, Karen Stewart Clark of Paducah and Greg Stewart (Summer) of Stanford, KY; his grandchildren, Hunter Stewart (Jessica) of Georgetown, TX and McKenzie Clark of Paducah; and his sisters, Shirley Stewart of Paducah and Nancy Stewart of Paducah. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
