He was predeceased by: his brother David Mayer; and his parents, Walter Bernard and Alice Priess Mayer. He is survived by: his sisters, Gail Misfeldt of Menomonie and Margaret Mayer of Snowflake, Arizona; and his sister-in-law Karen Mayer of Kevil, Kentucky. He is also survived by two nephews and a niece.
