He is survived by: his children, Brenda Ann Redick (Stan) of Suwanee, Kentucky, Linda Gail Thompson (Mike) of Benton, Kentucky and Tom McMurtry (Lori) of Paducah; his sister Ruby Hurley of Calvert City; his daughter-in-law Starr McMurtry; and his wife Shirley Ann Stamper McMurtry. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
