Tom Nelson Obituary
In loving memory of Tom Nelson of Paducah, Kentucky, who departed this world on August 6, 2025 at the age of 88. Tom leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandson Ryan Lee Morehead; his parents, Paul James Nelson and Verna Elizabeth Kruger Nelson; his sister Sondra Elizabeth Folsom; and his brother-in-law Leo Folsom.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Elizabeth Cook Nelson; his children, Deborah Elizabeth Reynolds (Dan) of Kevil, Kentucky, Dana Ellen Wright (Dwane) of Kevil, Kentucky and Paul Dee Nelson (Elly) of Brookport, Illinois; his brother James Donald Nelson (Kay) of Kalamazoo, Michigan; his grandchildren, Joshua Lee Morehead, Cody Ryan Morehead (Emily), Justin Nelson Reynolds (Rachel), Allison Elizabeth Reynolds, Emma Elizabeth Nelson and Abby Camille Nelson; and his great grandchildren, Maddox and Mason Morehead. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah (120 Memorial Dr, Paducah, KY 42001). A memorial service was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
