He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Adkins and Gladys Pearline Scott Adkins; his sons, Joey Dale Adkins and Patrick Keith Adkins; and his siblings, Loretta Borden, Delores Funderburk, George F. Adkins and Noah W. Adkins.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Kay Peeler Adkins of Paducah; his children, Angela Heavrin (Dennis) of Kevil, KY and Tony Adkins (Maria) of Paducah; his grandchildren, Parker Feezor, Owen Feezor and Anthony Aaron Adkins; and his great grandchild Anthony Aiden Adkins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
