He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Massie and Lillie Anglin Massie; his son Billy Hodges; his grandson Devon Penrod; and his siblings, Raymond Massie, Howard Massie, Martha Sigler and Meredith Murphy.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Massie of LaCenter, KY; and his children, Bobby Hodges of LaCenter, KY, Tammy Boulton (Bill) of Lakeworth, Bonnie Sullenger (Tommy) of Kevil, KY and Mary Ferrell of Bandana, KY. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
