He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Painter; his children, Charles Painter II (Freida), Denise Painter and Tammie Painter (Kevin); his brothers, Gary Painter (Beverly) and Mark Painter (Cheryl); and his pet Sassafras "Sassy". He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.
