He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Day and Margaret Benton Day. He is survived by : his daughter Joanna Robbins (Mathew); his stepson Ronnie "R. J." Shrout, Jr.; his grandchildren, Charlie Morehead, Abigail Morehead, Scarlett Morehead, Lillian Robbins and Tyler Matthews; his brothers, Larry Day (Debbie) and Preston Day; his nieces, Maggie Day, Katy Grogan and Amy Richardson; and his cousin Jane Day Young.
