He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Powell Hutson and Viola McFarland Hutson; and his son Darren Ray Hutson. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Gene Rankin Hutson; his daughter Christy Wagner (Vince); his grandchildren, Zachary Ray Hutson (Meghan), Haley Hager (Matt), Hannah Wagner and Robert Henderson; his great grandchildren, Clayton Hedges, Kathryn DeRay Marie Hutson, Henleigh Jewel Hager, Hutson Wayne Hager and Heidi Layne Hager; and his sister Joan Glassman. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel (1120 Main St, Paris, KY 40361). A rosary will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
