Dwaine Mattox Obituary

Dwaine Mattox, Kathy’s husband and Micah (Cassidy) and Bailey’s father, went home to be with the Lord on October 24th, 2018. Our pain and loss is immense. If you knew him, you know for certain he is with Jesus. He was a scholar of scripture and a true disciple of Christ. Dwaine was involved in many ministries with a heart for helping the homeless. He was an incredible father who loved his children and was so proud of them. Dwaine was the son of Buddy and Nancy Mattox, and son-in-law of Ruth and the late Richard Bailey, and was loved by them all.

Dwaine served in the Air Force for ten years and graduated from the University of South Carolina and Louisiana Technical University with a degree in chemical engineering. He retired from British Petroleum and was working for Kinder-Morgan in Alpharetta, Georgia at the time of his death. Dwaine was a Christ follower and knew physical death was simply a transition to a different season of life.

Visitation will be on Monday, October 29th from 1-3pm. The funeral will be held at 3 at Central Baptist Church where Dwaine and Kathy were married 36 years ago.
