He was predeceased by: his parents, William Vester Yazell and Marlene Tubbs Yazell Terrell; his grandparents, James, Gertrude Tubbs, Grover and Sarah Yazell; and his siblings, Opal Mae Yazell and Terry Wayne Yazell.
He is survived by: his siblings, Wanda Yazell Porter (Thomas Price), Orville Thomas Yazell and William Ray Yazell; his nieces and nephews, Taylor Porter, Hunter Porter, James Yazell (Kelsey), Tanya Hayes-Evans (Scott), Aimee Schouten (Jonathon) and Rachel Bratcher-Thompson; his aunt Mary Tubbs Mitchell; his cousins, David Henderson, Arnie, Sue Henderson and Patricia Booth-Thacker; and his close friends, Gwen Parker and Beth Bowman. He is also survived by great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces.
