He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Porrell and Lucy Porrell; his brothers, Jerry (Mary) and Doug; and his nephew Christopher Porrell.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Porrell; his stepchildren, Kathy Pickup (Matthew), Jim Horgos and Joe Horgos; his siblings, David Porrell (Charlene), Alice Porrell Riportella (Len) and Jim Porrell; and his stepgrandson James. He is also survived by his extended family nieces, nephews, cousins.
