We bid farewell to Judy Abney of Paris, Kentucky, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 21, 2026 at the age of 79. Judy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellen Gray Williams Burchell and Aaron Burchell; her son Justin (Gena Beard); her siblings, Sue Bowman (Ellis), Ollie Reynolds (Ralph), Nellie Schlachter (Raymond), Tina Mahanes (Tommy), Robert Burchell (Nancy) and Phillip Burchell (Sharon); and her brothers-in-law, Eddie Cox, Ray Asher and Paul Rainey.
She is survived by: her husband Clarence Allen Abney; her siblings, Jean Cox (Eddie), Pat Asher (Ray), Mary Ann Rainey (Paul) and David Burchell (Nell); and her siblings-in-law, Sharon Burchell, Tommy Mahanes and Larry Abney (Marjorie). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and devoted friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be given to the American Cancer Society. Donations are being accepted for: AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY INC (NATIONAL HOME OFFICE).
