She was predeceased by : her husband James Curtis Franklin; and her siblings, Amy Ruth Mattox, Mary Emma Sams, Hazel Hudson, Helen Williams, J. V. Reid and Kenneth Reid.

She is survived by : her sons, Phillip Franklin (Rhonda) and Kenny Franklin (Cathy); her grandchildren, James Clayton Franklin (Emily) and Sarah Turner (Sam); and her sister Edith Elam.
