She was predeceased by : her parents, Glyndon Hellard and Hazel Ward Hellard; her daughter Gwendolyn "Dawn" Rutledge; and her brother Wallie Hellard. She is survived by : her husband Larry Edwin Curtis; her sons, Dwight Curtis (Colette) and Damon S. Curtis; her grandchildren, Benjamin Rutledge and Hailey Elizabeth Rutledge; and her siblings, Danny Hellard and Leona Smith. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
