He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodford Boyd and Lillian Osborne Turner; his sister Marie Turner Reynolds; and his nephews, Mark and Todd Reynolds.

He is survived by: his wife Lena Jones Turner; his sons, Ethan Turner and Josef Turner; and his niece Paula Purcell (Leo).
