He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Sylvester and Dorothy Tubbs (Chalk); his wife Edith Tubbs; his son William Michael "Mikey" Tubbs; and his siblings, Butch Tubbs, Jimmy Tubbs, Samuel Tubbs and Patricia Eubanks.

He is survived by: his children, Brad Tubbs (Carrie), Stephen Tubbs (Kyla) and Isabella Rose Tubbs; his grandchildren, Lane Tubbs (Chelsey), Dawson Stauffer, Cydney Tubbs, Skyler Tubbs, Kaydence Ward, Willow Tubbs, Tyson Tubbs, Alexander Tubbs, Aspyn Tubbs and Celeste Tubbs; and his great grandchildren, Bennett Tubbs, Charlotte Tubbs and Heston Lay. He is also survived by extended family, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Steve's memory can be directed to Sligo Baptist Church.
