He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Broughton and Nellie Broughton; and his siblings, Wilma Lucas, Lucille Prochnow, Sylvia Tharpe, Jesse and Everett Tharpe.
He is survived by: his sister Mildred Underwood. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
