With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ebbie Lester of Phelps, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 27, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Bentley and Lula Bentley (Church); her husband Johnnie Lester; and her brothers, Blake Bentley, Elmer Bentley (Sambo), Harold Jr. Bentley and Bobbie Bentley.
She is survived by: her children, Ivory Diana Casey (David) of Pikeville, KY and Johnnie Lester Jr. (Tabitha) of Phelps, KY; her sisters, Edna Hatfield (Jessie) and Lucy Bentley; her sister-in-law Cora Bentley; her niece Christian Hatfield; her grandchildren, Brandon David Casey of Rochester, NY, Justin Ryan Casey of Pikeville, KY, Miranda Bailey (DJ) of Matewan, W. Va, Tiffany King (JR) of Bessemer, AL and Courtney Lester (Jordan) of Chesapeake, OH; her great grandchildren, Kaden, Kenadi Clark, Gracie, Jocelyn Fouch (Ebbie), Dillon and Joseph King; and her extended family, Michael Ryan, Marcus Victoriano, Thalia Rojas and Brandon Fields.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Jones & West Funeral Home (37035 KY-194, Phelps, KY 41553). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM.
