She was predeceased by: her father Kermit Smith; her husband Rufus Layton Thompson; her son Donald Thompson; her siblings, Alma Jean Slone, Earl, Dennis and Curtis Smith; and her son-in-law Tony Huff.
She is survived by: her children, Jackie Frasure, Deanna Blackburn (Nixon), Sherry Huff and Ronald Thompson; her brothers, Paul Smith and Bobby Smith; and her daughter-in-law Faye Blackburn Thompson (Friends). She is also survived by eleven Grandchildren; twelve Great Grandchildren.
