He is survived by: his daughter Sabrina Kay Akers; his sisters, Avonell Spears (Larry) of Harold, Amalene Damron (Bobby) of Dayton and Marlene Spears (Harlis) of Harold; and his former wife Patricia Akers.
His contribution to the community was marked not only by his tireless labor but also by his unwavering spirit and kindness to others.
