He was predeceased by: his parents, Annias Chaney and Kelsey Belcher Chaney; his wife Rose Mary Chaney; his children, Ronnie Chaney and Robin Chaney; his grandson Dewayne Chaney; and his siblings, Noble Chaney, Dixie Worby, Maxine Coleman, Geraldine Thacker and Mildred Bentley.
He is survived by: his daughter Sabrina Blackburn (Joel) of Powell's Creek; his brother Danny Chaney of Millard, Kentucky.; his grandchildren, Makayla Blackburn, Shannon Blackburn (Tosha), Becky Williamson and Jeremy Chaney; and his great grandchildren, Kaleigh Chaney, Tiffany Chaney, Raphael Ascencio, Dawson Coleman, Hollie Coleman, Lilah Blackburn and Lucy Williamson. He is also survived by three great-great-grandchildren.
