He is survived by: his wife Teresa Hamilton Thacker; his sons, Bennie (Selena Thacker) of Pikeville and Cody Thacker (Jason Rose) of Pound; his grandchildren, Brayden Thacker, Landon Thacker, Freya Rose, Leeana Rose, Mika Newsome, Bryson Newsome and Kyle Newsome; his great grandchild Lyla Newsome; his siblings, Hillard (Thacker), Rubin (Lavonne Thacker) of Pikeville, Gary (Liz Thacker) of Elkhorn City, Lonnie Dean (Dixie Thacker) of Pikeville, Kevin Ratliff, Robert Justice, Loreane (Danny Sturgill) of Virgie, Debbie Maynard of Pikeville and Margie Bartley of Elkhorn City; his brother-in-law Phillip Johnson; and his niece Michelle Damron. He is also survived by his family and many friends.
