He is survived by: his wife Vonda Spears; his children, Bryan Patrick Spears (Christen), Billy Gene Spears (Matilda), Camillia Hamilton (Bobby) and Angelina Sammons (Greg); and his grandchildren, Laura, Allie Spears, Cory, Rebecca Hamilton, Denver, Caylan, Brandon, Tara Sammons and Nathan.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home (2931 US-23, Pikeville, KY 41501). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
