He was predeceased by : his father Clemet Akers. He is survived by : his mother Charlene Dawson of Clintwood; his son Austin Akers (Bethany) of Penny Road; his sisters, Wendy Dye (Johnny) of Dorton and Misty L. Clark of Clintwood, VA; and his grandchildren, Aubrie Akers and Sawyer Akers.
