He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Joyce Delores Brown Smith; his brother David Smith; his children, Charles Dwayne (Lisa Carroll Smith) of Franklin, Susan (Brian Hall) of Nicholasville, Amber Smith of Pikeville and Jaclyn Smith of Pikeville; his grandchildren, Tyler Smith (Katie), Ethan Smith-Mills (Courtney), Aaron Smith, Ean Smith, Isaac Chapman (Lillian), Blake Chapman (McKenzie), Brayden Chapman and Kimberly Harris; his great grandchildren, Jayston Ramey, Everleigh Harris, Adelaide Smith and Delilah Smith; and his siblings, Hoyt Smith (Blanche), William Smith (Jo Evelyn), Connie Smith of Anderson and Debbie Whitson (Royce) of North Carolina.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Son Funeral Home (703 Hambley Blvd, Pikeville, KY 41501). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
