He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Stone and Thelma Jude Stone; and his sister Josie Whorton. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Charles Stone; his children, Michael Newsome and Lisa Bowman of Pikeville, Kentucky.; and his grandchildren, Kendra Kidd (Dalton), Rachel Bowman, Chayse Bowman, Angelena Collins and Brayden Newsome.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Son Funeral Home (703 Hambley Blvd, Pikeville, KY 41501). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
