He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Sammons and Norma Slone Sammons; and his siblings, Sandra Justice and Bobby Gene Sammons. He is survived by: his wife Diana Sammons; his children, Brittany Ratliff (Heath) and Brian Sammons (Andrea); and his stepson Kenny Wolford (Hallie). He is also survived by nine Grandchildren; also a host of other Family and Friends.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of the Thacker Memorial Funeral Home (1118 S Mayo Trail, Pikeville, KY 41501). An entombment was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at the Annie E. Young Cemetery (4907 Chloe Rd, Pikeville, KY 41501).
