She was predeceased by: her parents, Tilden Varney and Josephine Rutherford Varney of Kimper, Kentucky.; and her siblings, Frank Donald Varney, James Tilden Varney and Billie Darlene Keene.

She is survived by: her husband Robert Helvey; her son Larry Bruce Sanders (Beth Calmes); her stepsons, Michael Dwayne Helvey (Janet) and Mitchell Darren Helvey of Pikeville, Kentucky; her granddaughter Presley Sanders Terry (Trey) of Savannah, Georgia.; her great grandchild Rayden Terry; her stepgrandchildren, Courtnie Bentley (John), Travis Helvey of Lexington, Jacob Helvey (Laura) of Melvin and Clay Helvey of Lexington, Kentucky; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Kyra, Lanie, Gavin, Jordyn, Isaiah and Emeryson; and her siblings, Fred Jack Varney of Pikeville, John Conley Varney of Hodgenville, June Phillips of Elizabethtown and Shirley O'Quinn of Ashcamp.
