With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Estil Guy Hurt in Pikeville, Kentucky, born in Buchanan, Virginia, who passed away on April 3, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred Hurt and Edie Victoria Osborne Hurt; his granddaughter Tara Dougherty; his great grandchild Kaiden Brinn; his son-in-law Richard Johnson; his brothers, Massie Short, Danie Osborne and James Davis; and his half-brother Clay Hurt.

He is survived by : his daughters, Lisa Hurt of Raven, Lora Shelton (Eddie) of Raven, Michelle Kennedy (Jake) of Raven and Linda Johnson of Richlands, Virginia; his grandchildren, Josh Rose, Eric Rose, Carrie Keen, Jamie Sisk, Cody Kennedy, Marvin Shelton and Denise Cordova; his brother Jessie Osborne; his nephew Raymond; and his close friends, Sylvia and Shirley. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
