She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Coleman Sr. and Viva Justice Coleman; her husband Claude Stamper; her son Danny Stamper; her siblings, Earl Coleman, Levi Coleman, Robert Coleman, Glenn Coleman Jr., Bill Coleman, Ruth Gardner and Katherine Caudill; and her daughters-in-law, Brenda Stamper and Vanessa Stamper.
She is survived by: her children, Claude Stamper (Kathy) of Pikeville, Jerry Stamper of Pikeville and Anna Curry (Robert) of Pikeville, Kentucky; her siblings, Sue Rice of Waco, Odell Hanenburg of Sun City and Harold Coleman (Mary) of Pikeville, Kentucky.; and her grandchildren, Benjamin Stamper (Renee), Nathan Stamper, Susan Holland (Michael), Travis Stamper, Brian Adkins, Krissy Kimball (Pete), Jeremy Smith (Amy), Kara Buntain (Kyle), Melissa Smith (Josh), Glenda Brock (Freddie), Courtney France (Steven) and Lucie Newsome. She is also survived by twenty one great-grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Son Funeral Home (703 Hambley Blvd, Pikeville, KY 41501). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Evelene's memory to: Victory Baptist Outreach, P.O. Box 2863, Pikeville, Kentucky 41502 Honoring Evelene by serving as Pallbearers will be, Ben Stamper, Claude Stamper, Austin Holland, Maddux Stamper, Devin Lumpkins, Kyle Buntain, Chris Gunter and Eugene English.
