He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery Salyers and Alpha "Ratliff" Salyers; and his siblings, Lee Burton Salyers, John Salyers, Blake Salyers, Roger Salyers, Jimmy Salyers, Phoebe Dema, Fayetta Ratliff, Ardena Hagstorm and Lorene Hawkins.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Ann Salyers; his children, Brett Salyers, Chad Salyers (Mikale) and Becky Damron (Matthew); his grandchildren, Caleb, Courtlyn, Macy, Maleigh, Gabby, Brooklyn and Bryson; and his sister Coraphene Justice (Linton).
