She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl James and Mary Burchett; her former husband James Spears; her husband Thomas Lee Bowling; her children, Roland Spears and Colita Brown; and her siblings, Larry Shortridge and Ruby Tussey.
She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Brown of Robinson Creek, KY, Brenda James of Pikeville, KY, Glenda Collins of Pikeville, KY, Joyce Burchett of Pikeville, KY, Lasheri Akers (Ellis) of Dana, KY and Jackie Spears (Justin); and her siblings, Darvin Shortridge of Prestonsburg, KY, Ronald Shortridge of Prestonsburg, KY, Carl Shortridge of Winchester, KY, Peggy Clevenger of Prestonsburg, KY, Geneva Compton of Prestonsburg, KY and Barbara Shortridge of East Point. She is also survived by 17 Grandchildren; 42 Great Grandchildren; and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
