He is survived by: his son Wayne Tibbs (Teresa) of Carlisle; his grandchildren, Shad Tibbs (Kristin) of Jena, Cody Tibbs of Carlisle and Sarah Hunt (Kelly Starnes) of Louisville, Kentucky.; and his great grandchildren, Collin Tibbs (Kelsey) of Louisiana, Thomas Tibbs of Louisiana, Carter Tibbs (Katy) of Louisiana, Ella Tibbs of Louisiana, Mary Charlotte and John Coleman Starnes of Louisville.
