It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Cantrell Jr. of Pikeville, Kentucky, who passed away on March 18, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, James Cantrell and Beulah "Hazel" Conley Cantrell; his wife Shirley "Justice" Cantrell; his sister Faye Ann Elkins; and his grandchild Katelynn Hamilton.

He is survived by : his daughters, Dulcena Fuson (Michael) and Kathy Hamilton (Dale); his grandchildren, Tyler Hamilton, Sarah Hamilton (Coty Burnette), Jacob Hamilton and Jonathan Fuson; his great grandchild Danleigh Hamilton; and his brother Randy Cantrell (Janice).

“I was saddened to read the passing of my first cousin, Junior. I am unable to attend services but my thoughts and prayers are with the family.. For those who have no clue who I am. My mother Phyllis Cantrell Cure was a sister to senior James Cantrell. I know she will welcome him with open arms.”
