It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Smallwood (Pikeville, Kentucky), who passed away on April 5, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John Morgan Smallwood and Erma Roberts Smallwood. He is survived by : his wife Betty Lou Morgan Smallwood; his sons, John K. Smallwood (Leca) and James K. Smallwood; his sister Dorothy Hunt; his grandchildren, John D. Smallwood, Joshua Smallwood, Marissa Coleman, James C. Smallwood, Todd C. Smallwood, Brandon S. Smallwood and Haley M. Kimper; and his great grandchildren, John B., Kinsley, Brinley, Raeleigh, Lucas, Ryker, Cole and Athena Lou.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home (2931 US-23, Pikeville, KY 41501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
