She was predeceased by: her parents, Orvil Akers and Nancy Smith Akers; her sons, Coy Allen Scarlett and Carl Eugene Scarlett; and her brothers, Ralph Maynard, Homer Akers and Orvil Akers Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Charles E. "Chuck" Scarlett; her siblings, James Akers of Pikeville, Ruth Meade of Louisa, Mary Charles of Williamson, Betty Lowes of Louisa and Christine Settles (Jeff) of Pikeville, Kentucky.; her grandchildren, Alexis Danielle Scarlett of Stanville and Allison Scarlett of Stanville; and her pets, Liz and Rosie. She is also survived by Nieces and Nephews, Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews and Great-Great-Nieces and Great-Great-Nephews.
