He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Leslie and Estie Roop Leslie; his stepmother Sylvia Leslie; his son Martin Avery Leslie; his great grandchild Ronnie Douglas Hamilton Jr.; his granddaughter Jena Rebecca Dye Cheeks; and his brothers, Hatler Leslie, Marvin Leslie and Douglas Leslie.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian Delorse Lee Leslie; his children, William Douglas Leslie (Teresa) of Lancaster, Robert E. Leslie (Melissa) of Winchester, Betty Jean Lee of Pikeville, Deborah Jean Lee of Melrose, Katherine Ann Howard (Frankie) of Salyersville, Carol Sue Bryant of Pikeville and Linda Fay Leslie of Pikeville, Kentucky.; his siblings, Billy Joe Leslie (Rondi) of Winchester, Marjorie Voss of Vine Grove, Mary Leslie of Winchester and Mildred Adkins (Ace) of Trimble County; and his nephew Floyd Mullins. He is also survived by twenty six grandchildren, thirty nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and caregiver, friend.
