He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Greathouse Benner and Paul Benner; and his brother William "Greg" Steele of Pikeville, KY.. He is survived by: his wife Trulena Benner of Pikeville, KY.; his son Israel Joe Benner of Tucson; his granddaughter Jasmine Benner of Tucson, Arizona.; his sisters-in-law, Susan Bridgeman of Lexington, KY and Victoria Bryant of Pikeville, KY; his nephews, Ryker Bryant of Pikeville, KY and Jonathon Bryant (Tierra); Clarksville. He is also survived by three great nephews.
