He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Chaney and John Chaney; his sister-in-law Donna; and his uncle Russ Chaney. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Chaney; his daughter Susan Renee Brown (Matthew); his grandsons, Mason Richard and Matthew David Brown; his siblings-in-law, Billie Jean Hopkins (Jimmy Adkins), Margie Owens (Johnny), Pamela Ratliff (Chuck), Sherry Marrs (Rife), Gobel Ratliff (Julie) and Ronnie Adkins; and his mother-in-law Lois Ratliff.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests quilts and other items to preserve the memory of their loved one.
