It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard H. Young of Pikeville, Kentucky, who passed away on August 19, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mealey Sizemore Young; and his son Richard Dean Young. He is survived by: his children, Rosalene Bryant (Hobie) of London, KY, Wendell Young (Carla) of Atlanta, GA, Reva Thacker (Jeff) of Pikeville, KY, Junith Rebh (Nick) of St. Johns, MI, Stacy Young (Christic) of Dallas, GA and Jordan Young of Tyner, KY; his sister JoAnn Riggs Martin of Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Lori, Ashley, Richie, Tori, Hunter, Bailey, Nicholas, Matthew and Emily. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; plus many other friends and family.
