With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ruby A. Smith (Pikeville, Kentucky), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ruby left this world on June 27, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her grandson John N. Chaney of Gainesville, FL.; her parents, James Freeman and Olta Freeman (Dotson); and her siblings, Ben Freeman of Phelps, KY, Sandra Gourley of Amissville, VA., Ruth, Ervin, Glenys, Roger and Bernard.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Son Funeral Home (703 Hambley Blvd, Pikeville, KY 41501). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers please contribute to the Gooslin Bottom Church in Phelps, KY or New Beginnings Fellowship Church in Pikeville, KY.
