He is survived by: his wife Wanita Marie Pappas; his children, Steven William Pappas and Melissa Marie Lawson (John); his grandchildren, Jay and Katherine Lawson; and his siblings, Ellis, Donnie Pappas and Judy Gulish. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
