She was predeceased by: her father Rufus "Duze" James; her siblings, Cinda Lou James, Queenie James Hess, Kennie, Plennie and Arvil James; and her nephew Shawn Hess.

She is survived by: her siblings, Klennie "Howard" James, Kathleen Lucille "Lucy" James Jackson and Lola James Blankenship Hess; her siblings' children, Klarisa Shae Blankenship, Ronald of Darren, Keith, Christopher "Chris", Richard James and James "Ross" Jackson; and her sister-in-law Deloris James.
