We bid farewell to Wanda Jean Ratliff (Pikeville, Kentucky), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 1, 2025 at the age of 80. Wanda touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Wanda may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Wanda touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Donzel Burgess and Irene Gose Burgess; her husband Gary L. Ratliff; and her siblings, Rickey Burgess, Donna Hatfield and Evelyn Stewart.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Browning (Heather) of Pikeville, Cindy Tackett (Jeff) of Pikeville, Rhonda Hampton (James Fields) of Pikeville and Jennifer Underwood (Jamie) of Huntington, WV; and her friend Don Browning. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the Hope Christian Ministries (166 Lick Branch Ln, Pikeville, KY 41501). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hope Church.
