He was predeceased by: his father Nathaniel Calvary; his significant other Anna Rhea Runyon; his daughter Teresa Dawn Runyon; his grandson Robert Adkins; and his siblings, Avonelle Slone, Maggie Nichols, Gene Harold Runyon, Bud Edward Runyon and James Floyd Runyon.

He is survived by: his children, Mary Francis "Francie" Runyon (Ricky), Ronald Douglas Runyon (Angela) and Pamela Ann Sanders (Joey); his grandchildren, Stephanie Dawn Crum (Brandon Crum), William Douglas Runyon (Michelle), Anna Marie Adkins (Roger), Johnathan Douglas Adkins, Daniel Keith Adkins and Samantha Derue Sanders (Sean Potter); his great grandchildren, Emma Diane Runyon, Gabriel Madison Crum, Gavin Cole Crum, James Grey Crum, Isabella Rhea Allen, Trenton Tyler Tackett, James Brody Adkins, Boston Reed Adkins, Jordyn Grace Adkins and Kennedy Blake Adkins; his siblings, Patty Justice, Tommy Runyon (Glenda) and Cal Runyon (Sandy); his sisters-in-law, Camella Runyon and Dorothy Runyon; and his pet Sophie.
