He is survived by: his children, Ancil Troy Wood (Rachel) of Hamersville, Tony Troxell (Stephanie) of Lexington, Kentucky, Sandra Wood (Matthew Sharits) of Whitley City and Lorie Watson of Amelia, Ohio; his siblings, Lonnie Wood of Pine Knot, Willa Fay Lay (James) of Pine Knot, Jeannette Wood of Pine Knot, Wanda Myers of Pine Knot and Vicki Wood Lesh (John) of Georgia; his grandson Austin Kayser; and his nieces and nephews, Lenville Carter, Steve Carter and Rebecca Stephens.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Pine Knot Funeral Home (140 Cal Hill Spur, Pine Knot, KY 42635). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
